Overthinker

The pandemic has irreversibly changed the way we communicate with our friends, families,  and colleagues. It coincided with an ongoing period where our expressions of identity have  become multidimensional and complex. But our language hasn’t caught up to our new  realities. In fact, thanks to social media, it’s regressed.

Overthinker addresses that feeling of our words failing us as we stretch, snip, and sew them  to fit our new ways of thinking. It is a peek into the unsaid behind the said.

It was a pleasure writing and choreographing this piece. I hope people can relate to this  feeling and feel that they are not alone in feeling speechless. Continue to grasp for those  pesky, slippery words! It is a necessary but beautiful struggle.
